How models are made from wood furniture
Sawmill consists of a small group of artisans in the Catskills area in the United States. The group was formed to design and manufacture contemporary furniture, made of solid wood and hand. For 15 years, they are building furniture.
The Catskills area is known for its handicrafts. This particular group revives the heritage of the Hudson Valley, communities of people working to develop and create a life that is meaningful to them.
Sawmill furniture are designed to get better over time. Made with local materials, the company seeks to create environmental awareness among buyers of its parts.
Team members: Tara De Lisa, Matthew and Stewart Verily, Josh Meyer Vogel and Jonah are not only interested in furniture design, but also engage in other disciplines such as painting and sculpture.
The collection consists of tables, chairs, furniture saving, lighting pieces, beds, and some sculptures. They all emphasized the strength of the pieces, and the presence of raw materials.
